2008--From Week 1 To Now

Let me make something clear. I am a Run and Gun offense, but it's really more Gun than run. I often do not call a single running play all game long; I'll scramble with Jacen sometimes, if necessary, but my running back, Kevin Jones, is hardly used. I've tried to deal for Reggie Bush and Adrian Peterson, respectively, but both will require a 1st Round Pick, and as I remind myself during the negotiation, I don't run the ball!. If I really needed to deal for a player, it'd probably be for a great corner.

I fired Rod Marinelli in the off season, and promptly tried to hire Jon Gruden and then NE Coach (Bill Belicheaterchick), both refused, so I hired Martyball. He's represnted on the sidelines by this weird looking Founding Fathers guy. It's odd. I'll can him in the offseason and hire someone else; hopefully Gruden if he's available (Tampa sucks hard in this version of reality).

I started off 2008 with a bang.

@ Texans--W, 34-20
Vs Jaguars--W, 71-27
@ Vikings--W, 49-7
@ Bucs--W, 80-21

Houston played me tough, but some of that was Kings. He threw three picks that game. But then, he came alive. He slaughtered Jacksonville, and then Minnesota, and then Tampa, all with ruthlessness that I love. Austin Ryan was dominating, too; he sacked Brandon Cox, Tampa's new QB, 7 times, forcing three fumbles.

@ Saints--W, 52-17
Vs Titans--W, 43-10

That takes me up to where I sit today. After I play the Carolina Panthers, I'll update everything, including Kings' and Ryan's stats, overall team stats and NFL standings.
