2008 Week 10: (8-0) Detroit Lions @ (5-3) Philadelphia Eagles

Preview

Last year, the Eagles gave me one of my few scares, and in fact I went into halftime trailing against them. They have a good secondary, which means Kings will have to work hard to find the open man. They're sound tacklers, and play disciplined football.

Their offense is sound, but if you hit Donnie Football, he crumbles. That's bad news for Philly, because I have the most prolific sack machine since... ever.

It's raining. I don't like the rain.

(I'm gonna do a simplified summary today.)

Scoring Summaries
1st Quarter
-Calvin Johnson, 23 Yard TD Pass from Kings (7-0)
-Ernie Sims 28 Yard INT Return For TD (14-0)
2nd Quarter
-Kings 18 Yard Run (21-0)
-Mike Furrey 9 Yard Pass from Kings (28-0)
-Ryan 48 Yard INT Return for TD (35-0)
-David Akers 21 Yard FG (35-3)
3rd Quarter
-Kings 13 Yard Run (42-3)
-Roy Williams 80 Yard TD Pass from Kings (49-3)
4th Quarter
-Kings 11 Yard Run (56-3)

Overall a dominant performance all-around. Kings was terrific, but the quest for a Perfect QB Rating is still on-going. But, 131.7 isn't bad. Ryan was especially awesome, registering 14 tackles (8 FL), 7 sacks and a Pick-Six.

We roll on.

9-0.
